Frequently Asked Questions
What is Manna?
“Manna” is the name given to gift cards and certificates which are provided from local and national retailers. They are the same gift cards available in stores. Nationally known retailers such as, Wal-Mart, Jewel, Dominick’s, JC Penney, Kohls, Best Buy, Shell, Speedway, Starbucks, The Home Depot and Subway all participate in the Manna program along with hundreds of others.
How does Manna work?
The Manna program allows St. Irenaeus to raise funds without you paying any additional money out-of-pocket. You might be asking yourself, “What’s the catch?” There is none. If you want a $100 Jewel gift card, you pay $100 for the gift card, and receive a $100 gift card. Partnered vendors agree to sell the gift cards to St. Irenaeus at a discount. The discount varies from vendor to vendor. Families like yours buy the gift cards at full face value and our organization keeps the difference as profit. The gift cards can be used towards everyday purchases such as, groceries and gas.
How do I order?
Manna order forms are available in the back of church, in the rectory, and on the church website. Orders need to be submitted at mass with payment or to the Rectory by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday with payment to receive your order by the weekend of the same week. Orders not submitted by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday will not be received until the following weekend.
